OPTICAL MULTISENSORY SYSTEM FOR NON-INVASIVE DIAGNOSTICS
|
|
"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 4, pp. 41–46 EDN: RWQWIW
A new structure of an optical multisensor system (OMS) is considered, that involves polyselective optical sensors instead of selective ones. A distinctive feature of polyselective sensors is the presence
of bandpass filters with non-uniform spectral characteristics. Based on the assessment of the intensity of light components reflected from biological tissues, conclusions are drawn about
the functional state of the human body. The spectral composition of the patient's irradiation light is determined by a set of monochrome optical emitters. If necessary, the irradiation
spectrum can be changed by altering the set of emitters and selecting the appropriate sensitivity matrix from the database. The approbation of the OMS on a mathematical model of a
six-sensor system showed that with good knowledge of the shape of the components of reflected light, this model estimates the intensity of reflected light without systematic errors
at a distance between peaks (resolution) equal to the width at half the height.

CONCERNING ANALYTICAL SENSITIVITY OF A GENETIC ANALYZER
|
|
"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 4, pp. 47–60 EDN: QJKEOA
The article considers the effect of reflection and scattering of fluorescence radiation in a capillary array on the analytical sensitivity of a genetic analyzer. Reflected and scattered radiation creates background illumination, which in some cases can exceed the intensity of the informative fluorescence signal. It is shown that the main contribution to the background illumination of a capillary array is made by reflection of radiation from neighboring capillaries with a high concentration of fluorophores and, accordingly, high fluorescence intensity. An experimental test of the proposed model for the formation of background illumination was carried out on a standard capillary array with 8 capillaries, in which one of the capillaries was filled with a colloidal solution of quantum dots. The experimentally obtained dependences of the intensity of fluorescence radiation reflected by the capillaries are quite correctly described by the proposed model. If the fluorescence intensity in different capillaries of the array differs insignificantly, then the capillaries do not have a significant effect on each other. With a 1000-fold difference in fluorescence intensity, the effective analytical sensitivity drops approximately 100 times. The results show that to achieve high analytical sensitivity in genomic sequencing, the fluorophore concentration should be approximately the same in all capillaries in the array. The feasibility of using arrays of capillaries with a large number of capillaries and measures to reduce the mutual influence of capillaries in the array of capillaries in the genetic analyzer are discussed.

DEVELOPMENT AND LABORATORY TESTING OF A PROTOTYPE AUTOMATED DEVICE FOR TUBERCULOSIS DIAGNOSIS USING REAL-TIME PCR
|
|
"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 4, pp. 61–71 EDN: KWRYGM
This article presents the results of the development and laboratory testing of portable automated device prototype for rapid tuberculosis diagnosis and detection of drug resistance.
The system comprises an analyzer and a disposable cartridge that contains all necessary reagents for sample preparation and PCR amplification inside. The analytical protocol
includes sputum processing (ultrasonic treatment, lysis, and DNA extraction using magnetic particles), followed by nested real-time PCR for the detection of
Mycobacterium tuberculosis and probe-melting analysis of rpoB gene mutations. Laboratory tests using sputum samples demonstrated that the system reliably
detects M. tuberculosis DNA (IS6110 target) with high sensitivity, including samples with low bacterial load, and accurately identifies mutations associated
with rifampicin resistance. An internal control confirms the absence of PCR inhibition. The accuracy of the results is comparable to standard laboratory PCR testing.
Technological advantages of the system include full automation from sample to result (total analysis time ~2 hours) and reduced risk of contamination due to the sealed cartridge
format compared to conventional molecular genetic methods. The developed platform demonstrates promise for point-of-care tuberculosis diagnostics, including multidrug-resistant
forms. Further development is to expand the test panel to include resistance detection not only to rifampicin but also to isoniazid and fluoroquinolones.

THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE ANALYSIS OF ULTRA-HIGH RESOLUTION ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH DATA
|
|
"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 4, pp. 72–78 EDN: QTZBEH
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the possibility of classifying measurement data of a small-sized block for logging, registration and recording electrocardiosignals (ECS) using the ultra-high resolution electrocardiography (UHR ECG) method, which is being developed in Laboratory 235 of the Institute for Analytical Instrumentation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IAI RAS). To classify the results of electrocardiographic measurements, a 4-layer convolutional neural network (NN) was used, trained and tested on a database consisting of 90 records of UHR ECS obtained during experiments modeling acute myocardial ischemia in experimental rats. Each experiment included three stages — "stabilization", "ischemia" and "reperfusion", characterized by different morphology and spectral characteristics of the recorded signals. The task was to automatically estimate the probability of each cardiac cycle belonging to one of the 4 classes corresponding to the three main stages of the experiments, as well as the transitional stage between the stages of "stabilization" and "ischemia". To assess the quality of the classification, a learning curve of the modeland a time dependence of the probability assessment of each cardiac cycle belonging to one of the 4 classes of an UHR ECS recordwere plotted.

THE EFFECT OF THE GEOMETRY OF THE RADIO FREQUENCY ION FUNNEL OF THE MASS SPECTROMETER INTERFACE ON THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE OUTPUT ION PULSES
|
|
"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 4, pp. 79–84 EDN: WRKBHP
The paper presents the results of modeling the dynamics of ions in a radio frequency ion funnel, which is an element of the mass spectrometer input interface and is designed to collect and focus ions.
The simulation was performed for ions of different masses depending on the angle of convergence of the funnel and the ratio of the thickness of the electrodes of the funnel to the distance between
them. Under these conditions, the broadening of the output ion pulses is determined.

REFINEMENT OF METHOD OF SEAWATER DENSITY DYNAMIC MEASUREMENTS USING MARINE AUTONOMOUS PROBE-PROFILERS
|
|
"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 4, pp. 102–112 EDN: IWPFEX
The study described in the article relates to in situ determination of the vertical profile of seawater density ρ.
Traditional density-determining methods by means of CTD parameters (conductivity, temperature, depth) have a multi-stage nature,
complicating their use in real-time applications. A promising method is the dynamic measurements using a marine autonomous probe-profiler,
which is equipped with only one pressure sensor and could determine the density profile at an order of velocity of 1 m/s. However,
the current embodiment of this method requires knowing the seawater density on the surface. The objective of this study is to develop
the refinement of the seawater density dynamic measurements method that does not require such information. The method is based on the
analysis of the mathematical description of the probe-profiler motion in a field of hydrostatic pressure p during free immersion.
It helps to obtain the equation for ρ(p) that does not require a priori information about density. The method
involves calculating the first and second derivatives of hydrostatic pressure. To reduce noise amplification because of differentiation,
the use of filter-differentiators is proposed, and the frequency suppression band boundary that depends on the profiling velocity is determined.
The influence of the probe-profiler immersion velocity on the dynamic error of pressure measurement and the analog-to-digital conversion error
is analyzed. The range of profiling velocities has been obtained in which the influence of the indicated errors is reduced. Simulations were
conducted to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method refinement. The obtained results can be applied in determining the seawater
density profile in oceanography, fisheries, and underwater work.

RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH INTO THE ELECTROACOUSTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF COMPOSITE PIEZOCERAMIC TRANSDUCERS WITH OVERLAYS FOR MARINE ECOLOGY MONITORING TASKS
|
|
"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 4, pp. 113–121 EDN: JHXKWQ
The results of an experimental study of the effect of the number of active piezoceramic elements (2, 6, 8) on the electroacoustic characteristics of broadband rod transducers with overlays
in the frequency range of 12–35 kHz are presented. The frequency dependences of the active component of impedance (Rw) and dynamic capacitance
(Cd) of three configurations of converters with piezoceramic elements made of CTBS-3 material have been studied by experimental prototyping and stainless-steel
overlays. It was found that in the low-frequency subband (12–21 kHz), all the studied configurations demonstrate comparable values of Rw (~3000 Ω), whereas
in the high-frequency subband (22–35 kHz), significant differences are observed: the two-element layout shows a maximum Rw = 8000 Ω at 29 kHz,
and the multi-element configurations (6 and 8 elements) are characterized by significantly lower values (42–190 Ω) due to the phase effects of the interaction of
the elements. The dynamic capacitance varies from +87 to –78 nF depending on the configuration and frequency. The scientific novelty consists in conducting a systematic
comparative study of the dependence of key electroacoustic parameters on the number of active elements in composite rod transducers with overlays for the frequency range
relevant for hydroacoustic marine ecology monitoring. The results obtained demonstrate the prospects of using two–element configurations for high-frequency applications
and multi-element configurations for broadband monitoring of marine ecosystems.

SINGLE-COMPONENT SPHERICAL ELECTRIC FIELD STRENGTH SENSOR WITH AN OPEN SYSTEM OF ELECTRODES IN THE FIELD OF A CONDUCTING PLANE

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 4, pp. 122–130 EDN: NZSKQF
This work aims to study the interaction of a single-component spherical electric field strength sensor with an open system of sensing electrodes and an electric field near a conductive grounded plane.
The sensing electrodes are hollow spherical segments with an angular size of Θ0, diametrically located on a virtual sphere of radius R. A brief theory of the
sensor's interaction with the field near the conducting plane is developed. The theory is based on the fundamental equations necessary for constructing a mathematical model of the sensor,
allowing one to determine the electric charges q1 and q2 on the sensing electrodes, the open-circuit voltage Uxx between the sensing
electrodes, and the interelectrode capacitance C. A mathematical model of the sensor was developed, and mathematical modeling was performed. As a result of mathematical modeling, numerical
values of the interelectrode capacitance C, differential charge Δq = q1 – q2 and open-circuit
voltage Uxx were
obtained. The numerical values were obtained by varying the distance d from the sensor center to the conducting plane for different angular values Θ0 of the spherical
segments. For convenience, the relative parameter α = R / d characterizing the spatial measurement range was used in the calculations instead of the distance d. The spatial
measurement range varied within the limits 0 < α ≤ 1 with a step of 0.1. The angular size of the spherical segments Θ0 varied
from 30° to 90° with a step of 15°. Research has shown that Uxx should be selected as the sensor output signal, with the angular sizes of the spherical segments
Θ0≤45°. This choice will provide the sensor with an error caused by the influence of the conductive plane that does not exceed
δ(α) ≤ 4.77% over the entire spatial measurement range of 0 < α ≤ 1. When the spatial range is reduced
to α = 0.5, the sensor error will not exceed δ(α) ≤ 0.36%. The results of the study confirmed the possibility of using the sensor
near a conductive grounded plane.
Keywords: field strength, sensor with an open electrode system, field of the conductive plane, interaction of the field with the sensor
