SET OF INSTRUMENTS FOR AUTOMATIC ANALYSIS OF GENETIC DIVERSITY, VARIETY ATTRIBUTION, AND SEED PURITY OF CROPS

 

 

The set is a system of instruments and devices automating labor of biochemical analysts and improving labor efficiency in seed varietal purity and variety attribution by the seed reserve protein electrophoresis method .

The seed reserve protein electrophoresis method is the most reliable, fast, and inexpensive method of analysis approved as an international standard arbitration method of seed control.

The set may be used for research into crop genetic potential and for analysis of marketable grain shipments.

 

The set comprises:

Equipment for preparation of corn seed reserve protein extracts: grain grinder, appliance for grain loading into the matrix.

Electrophoretic system with a power supply source: electrophoresis unit with three chambers containing two electrophoretic gels each, appliances for chamber assembling and gel embedding, power source generating voltages and currents required for electrophoresis.

The gel staining system.

Analysis result documenting equipment: gel digital photography device on the basis of a commercial scanner with a computer and a printer, appliance for gel film packing for drying, special software for analysis result processing and study report documenting.
