MICRODISPERSED ELECTROSPAY MODE IN NEGATIVE MODE
AS A METHOD FOR SAMPLE APPLICATION ON LDI TARGETS

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2024, vol. 34, no. 4, pp. 16—22.

This work demonstrates the feasibility of implementing microdispersed spraying in negative mode using 50 mM ammonium bicarbonate in a 50% aqueous ethanol solution. Using diclofenac as an example, it is shown that the developed methodology allows for reducing the influence of salts on mass-spectrometric analysis and avoids the need for preliminary sample preparation. The focus is on optimizing spraying parameters, including the formation of a stable meniscus and operational conditions of the setup. The results confirm that the microdispersed spraying method in negative mode can be successfully applied for the analysis of low-molecular-weight compounds and opens new opportunities for further research in analytical chemistry.

POSSIBILITIES OF INSTRUMENTAL STUDY
OF THE STRUCTURE OF BIOLOGICAL COLLOIDAL SYSTEMS

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2024, vol. 34, no. 4, pp. 23—33.

This work was initiated by Lydia Nikolaevna Gall in connection with her experimental studies of water properties. Theoretical justifications for the possibility of instrumental registration of moments of loss of aggregative stability by colloidal systems of biological origin are described and general settings for creating instrumentation for this. A version of such equipment is proposed, developed in the interests of detecting the tendency of urine to release a solid phase from it.

ELECTROCHEMICAL DETECTION OF SINGLE DNA MOLECULES
WITH A SOLID-STATE NANOPORE

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2024, vol. 34, no. 4, pp. 34—42.

We demonstrated the electrochemical detection of single DNA molecules using a thin SiN membrane with
a nanopore. Experiments were aimed at a registration of an ion current for a buffer solution without/with 10k, 5k and 500 b.p. DNA molecules. Obtained data was analyzed by a developed algorithm for the detection of translocation events through the nanopore. This algorithm allows us to analyze the amplitude, duration and frequency of detected events in order to analyze the properties of the detected molecules. In the case of 5k and
500 b.p. DNA a nonlinear dependence of the translocation time on their length is observed. It is shown that 10 times decrease in the length of molecules leads to the decrease in the translocation time by 35%. The translocation detection possibility sets the basis for the future development of a solid-state nanopore sensor.

DEVELOPMENT OF A DEVICE FOR SETTING UP AND CHECKING
OPTICAL SYSTEM OF GENETIC ANALYZER FOR MASSIVE
PARALLEL SEQUENCING

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2024, vol. 34, no. 4, pp. 43—49.

The development of a device for adjusting and testing the optical system of a DNA sequencer for massively parallel sequencing (MPS) is described. The device contains a microfluidic cell with fluorescent microspheres immobilized on the flat surface of the chip channel. Microspheres with a diameter of 1 μm serve as a model of fluorescent colonies of DNA fragments formed during amplification and subsequent sequencing. A method for immobilizing a stable monolayer of microspheres on the surface of the chip channel is considered.

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2024, vol. 34, no. 4, pp. 50—59.

The paper substantiates the possibility of using a hydrodynamic model of a viscous, incompressible, heat-conducting fluid to calculate the parameters of electroosmotic flow in a porous medium filled with liquid under conditions of the application of a constant and alternating electric field to this medium. Conditions for transitioning to this model from the model of viscous, compressible liquid are given. The boundaries of the problem parameters, in particular the boundaries of flow velocities and frequency constraints for the justification of such a transition, are specified. The obtained results can be used in modeling the above processes using computational packages.

PART 2. METHODOLOGY FOR ACCOUNTING FOR HUMAN FACTOR ERRORS

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2024, vol. 34, no. 4, pp. 60—67.

The sources of possible errors associated with the work of a human operator are considered using the example of the operation of a device for genetic analysis of the NANOFOR 05 series. Based on known models and empirical parameters, a classification and schematization of errors characteristic of various stages of work is carried out. The proposed schemes and calculation algorithms can be generalized to the case of working with devices of other types that involve a dialog mode of interaction between the operator and the device. One of the known tests for the development of attentiveness, related to proofreading tests, is also described, working with which can reduce the number of errors caused by the influence of the human factor. In general, the factor of subjective human errors is less significant compared to failures of device elements and / or incorrect formation of an informative signal – the kinetic curve of the polymerase chain reaction in real time, for example, due to inhibition of the reaction, formation of bubbles in the reaction chamber, etc.

PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH-TEMPERATURE MASS SPECTROMETRY TO STUDY INORGANIC MATERIALS (abstract)

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie"

The main stages of introduction, application and development of high-temperature mass-spectrometric effusion method of Knudsen for study of evaporation processes and thermodynamic properties of inorganic systems and materials are considered. Some results obtained on specialized instruments and on modified mass spectrometers equipped with high-temperature evaporators. The results of the first stage of laboratory modification of the MÒÈ-350Ã mass spectrometer to identify the composition of the gas phase and determine the thermodynamic properties of inorganic systems and materials, including high entropy ceramics, at high temperatures are discussed. The relevance and potential possibilities of creating a modern domestic mass spectrometer for studying evaporation processes and thermodynamic properties of inorganic systems are illustrated and materials at high temperatures based on the magnetic mass spectrometer MÒÈ-350Ã.

MEASUREMENT OF MOTION PARAMETERS OF AGITATED
INTERFACE USING EFFECTS NONLINEAR ACOUSTICS
FOR COASTAL SEGMENT COMMON MARINE MONITORING SYSTEM

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2024, vol. 34, no. 4, pp. 77—89.

The article analyzes the possibilities and needs of remote monitoring of the shelf in the coastal segment of the Global Ocean Surveillance System (GOS) using systems and methods for measuring the scattering of ultrasonic (sonar) and electromagnetic (radar) waves by the sea surface. The main attention is devoted to the design of the technical foundations of the ultrasonic method for monitoring water area, in which the modes of ultrasonic irradiation with signals from the bottom of the surveyed water area are implemented using various effects of nonlinear acoustics. Within the framework of the possibilities of solving the inverse scattering problem – determining the parameters of the sea surface by the characteristics of the signals scattered by it – the main attention is paid to the applicability of a selective ("resonant") backscattering mechanism corresponding to the Bragg — Wolfe condition. Based on the analysis of the available results, it is proposed to expand the possibilities of a method for measuring the parameters of the rough sea surface, which is promising for use in the coastal segment of the general marine monitoring system.

EXPERIENCE IN DESIGN OF INSTRUMENTATION
FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ON ENERGY ECOLOGY
AND HORTICULTURE

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2024, vol. 34, no. 4, pp. 90—103.

A real way to replenish the research base can be the production of specific measuring and analysis instruments in the design and production departments of scientific organizations. To review the measuring instruments and laboratory equipment developed in the laboratory of energy ecology and light culture. The work was carried out on the basis of a bibliographic analysis of publications on the problems of domestic scientific instrument making. The reasons for the industry's lag are noted. It has been hypothesized that under these conditions, creating your own laboratory instruments is a real alternative to centralized supply. The essence of the technology of "free and open-source hardware" (FOSH), developed directly by researchers, is revealed. The advantages and disadvantages of FOSH technology are highlighted. A number of laboratory developments in the field of instrumentation for scientific research are considered: a device for environmental monitoring of stress states of plants; leaf goniophotometer; device for morpho-colorimetry of plant leaves; full-scale model of a plant in hortyculture; device for measuring phyllotaxis parameters; color meter; a device for determining the fluctuating asymmetry of the optical characteristics of plant leaves; leaf photocolorimeter; device for determining the energy intensity of photosynthesis; quality analyzer for the spectrum of optical radiation flux in hortyculture. It was noted that the considered devices are the basis of the scientific activity of the laboratory and, counting scientific activity since 2011, have allowed us to publish 140 articles in scientific journals, more than 70 scientific papers in collections, and obtain 33 patents for inventions. The results of practical developments were awarded 10 gold medals at the VDNH and AgroRus exhibitions. The level of developments in the field of instrument engineering at the Laboratory of Energy Ecology and hortyculture is quite high. The laboratory team has a serious background in the field of scientific instrument making.

EVALUATION OF THE PROPERTIES OF RANDOM NUMBERS
OBTAINED ON THE BASIS OF QUANTUM PROCESSES USING
NONLINEAR DYNAMICS METHODS

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2024, vol. 34, no. 4, pp. 104—110.

It is known from the literature that many of the existing algorithms for generating random numbers or pseudorandom sequences are not able to fully provide the required level of security, which was the key reason for the development of random number generators or pseudorandom sequences based on new principles. Studies of time realizations of random numbers obtained on the basis of quantum processes have been carried out. It is shown that nonlinear dynamics methods are rarely used to study the properties of such random numbers. The simulation of random numbers obtained on the basis of quantum processes is carried out, and a quantitative and qualitative analysis of their properties using nonlinear dynamics methods is carried out. It has been established that the time realizations of random numbers obtained on the basis of quantum processes have increased stealth from an outside observer and are quite close to white noise. It is indicated that such random numbers, with appropriate adaptation, can find application for use in modern data transmission systems, since they have an acceptable peak factor value.
