IR spectroscopy is used to investigate radioactive - chemical transformations in different polymers (polyethylene therephthalate, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polyimide) employed to prepare track membranes. It is shown that this technique can be effectively applied to study processes occurring in polymers during their irradiation, sensibilization and etching.
