ELECTRIC SURFACE PROPERTIES OF TRACK MEMBRANES

V.V. Beryozkin, B.V. Mchedlishvili

The paper evaluates the results from experimental studies of electric surface properties of track membranes based on various techniques, with the implications on the surface density of the electric change acquired by the membrane surface pores in electrolyte aqueous solutions. Based on the earlier suggested hypothesis that there exists a layer with modified structure around the pores whose diameter does not exceed the length of the zone destructured when the original polymer film is irradiated by accelerated ions, it is proposed to use the electrokinetic method for studying the mechanism of polymer interaction with the accelerated ions.
