DATA MINING ALGORITHM FOR MASS SPECTRA
OF PROTEOMIC EXPERIMENT

A data mining algorithm is described for
extracting analytically significant information from mass spectra of complex
peptide mixtures. The algorithm operates with mass-to-charge and intensity
values of mass spectral peaks, and can correctly process overlapped isotope
clusters. The algorithm is shown to be much faster than commercial ones,
while the quality of processing is shown to be the same.
