A general approach to study the totality
of polarization angles for single-layer absorbing systems is developed. This
approach is easily extendable to multilayer media. It is demonstrated that
the main features in the behavior of PSI and DELTA polarization angles which
show up in the angles of polarization and during transition from one DELTA
step type to another remain also in the case of absorbing media.
