The paper analyzes the role of the stage of mathematical
modeling of heat and mass transfer in the development of a microfluidic analytical
system and performing chemical and biological analyses in such a system.
Among numerous modeling problems, the main concern was with effective methods
of analysis control for multicomponent mixtures of chemical and biological
substances in on-chip electrophoresis. Also covered are related issues such
as optimization of various analysis stages including signal processing.
