AUTOMATED  TUNING  OF  A  TIME-OF-FLIGHT
MASS  SPECTROMETER

 An automated tuning system for a time-of-flight mass spectrometer is described. The system operation is based on the interaction of the control and acquisition systems of the instrument. A description of adjustment algorithms is given. A number of tuning curves is obtained in the automatic mode.
