The possibility of using mass spectrometry
to determine specific sites of hydrolysis of peptide and protein sequence
was demonstrated. The types of digested bonds, scheme of hydrolysis,
kinetic parameters for most easily hydrolyzable bonds were determined.
The effect of pH on the initial rates of SPN hydrolysis was appreciated.
The agreement of data from mass spectrometry and HPLC was demonstrated.
