The paper describes a pulse-width shaper based on the microprocessor K1816BE31 with programmed control of pulse sequence duration and repetition period for various functions: step, linear, parabolic, inverse, extremum (figure of merit function), sine and random ("shot effect" like). The shaper can be used in encoders, pulse-width modulators, thyristor regulators, synchronous and phase detectors. The range of formed pulse durations and recurrence periods is 5 mks to 5 s in steps of 5, 10, 40, 400 mks, 4 and 20 ms. The times of function realization (generation) are 1.28, 2.56, 10.2, 102.4 ms, 1.02 and 5.12 s.
