ESTIMATING  THE  DEGREE  OF  THERMAL
OPTICAL  RADIATION  POLARIZATION

    A method of estimating the degree of thermal optical radiation polarization is proposed. It does not require any elements sensitive to polarization for its realization. This method uses photoreceiver measurements only. Statistical synthesis of the maximum likelihood algorithm for registered intensity processing is produced. Potential precision and calculational convenience of the estimate are analyzed.
