WAVELET-BASED SPECTRAL ANALYSIS OF SIGNALS

   Octave-band spectral analysis of signals based on the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is studied. It is shown that the slope of band-pass filter response fronts increases and the inter-band interference (crosstalk) decreases with increasing wavelet function order. Fast computational algorithms and circuits are presented.
