The paper presents the results of experimental studies of linear dimension assessment in magnetic resonance tomography. It is shown that the errors in linear dimensions are due to discrete sampling of NMR signals, chemical shift effects, local distortion of the magnetic field caused by diamagnetic changes in the medium.
