This static magnetic mass analyzer comprises a mainframe with an electromagnet, mass analyzer chamber, vacuum pumps, vacuum and electric lines and power supply units, and with a set of instrumentation power supply units. The basic mass analyzer has a high an ion beam focus level by all geometric parameters, and simultaneously ensures its 100% transfer via the mass analyzer. Ions central path radius: 250 mm . Ion beam angle: 90°. Mass number range: 1–600 amu for an accelerating voltage of 8 kV.
The modular design of the basic static magnetic mass analyzer enables development, on its basis, of a broad range of static mass spectrometers for various purposes. The analyzer has already been successfully used in the development of several specialized mass spectrometers of the ÌÒI-350 series intended for analysis of the isotope composition of uranium and transuraniums in the nuclear fuel cycle: High level of ion-optical solutions used in designing the basic static magnetic mass analyzer has been confirmed by analytical characteristics of the ÌÒ I-350G mass spectrometer exhibited in analyzing uranium hexafluoride. .
(in the electronic shock ionization and multi-collector mode)
Stable round-the-clock operation of the mass spectrometer constructed by using the proposed basic mass analyzer model. The instrument analytical characteristics comply with the world standards of special-purpose instruments of this class.
