THE ROLE OF L.N. GALL IN THE FORMATION OF A NEW AREA
OF RESEARCH "LOW AND SUPERLOW FIELDS AND RADIATION
IN BIOLOGY AND MEDICINE"

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 14—21.

The article is dedicated to the memory of Lidia Nikolayevna Gall, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, author of over 300 scientific publications and 82 patents for the development and improvement of mass spectrometers. The major contributions to the development of Russian and global science by L.N. Gall are as follows: (A) development of methods for designing mass spectrometers and discovery of the "electrospray" method for measuring mass spectra of non-volatile compounds. The electrospray method is now the main method of mass spectrometric analysis in pharmacology and biotechnology; (B) development of approaches to theoretical biophysics aimed at studying the effects of low and superlow fields and radiation on living systems, approaches based on innovative quantum physical concepts. These concepts are already widely used in modern medicine and biomedicine; (C) uniting scientists engaged in the development of a new direction in science that studies the effects of low and superlow fields and radiation. L.N. Gall founded and chaired eight International Congresses "Low and Superlow Fields and Radiation in Biology and Medicine".

PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH-TEMPERATURE
MASS SPECTROMETRY FOR STUDYING INORGANIC MATERIALS

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 22—40.

The main stages of introduction, application, and development of the high-temperature mass-spectrometric effusion Knudsen method for studying the evaporation processes and thermodynamic properties of inorganic systems and materials are considered. Some results are obtained using specialized instruments and modified mass spectrometers equipped with high-temperature evaporators. The results of the first stage of laboratory modification of the MTÈ-350Ã mass spectrometer for identification of the gas phase composition and determination of the thermodynamic properties of inorganic systems and materials, including high-entropy ceramics, at high temperatures are discussed. The relevance and potential possibilities of creating a modern domestic mass spectrometer for studying evaporation processes and thermodynamic properties of inorganic systems and materials at high temperatures based on the magnetic mass spectrometer MTÈ-350Ã are highlighted.

APPLYING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNIQUES
IN QUADRUPOLE MASS SPECTROMETER DATA ANALYSIS

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 41—46.

The aim of the study was to demonstrate the capabilities of classification and division into clusters of measurement data of the compact quadrupole mass spectrometer MS7-200 with direct sample injection at atmospheric pressure, developed at the IAI RAS. To cluster the results of mass spectrometric measurements, the principal component analysis (to reduce the dimensionality of the obtained data) and the k-means machine training method were used. Nineteen samples of fermented milk products were used as measurement objects, divided into two groups. The first group included samples of products from farms, the second included samples of industrial products. The task was to automatically recognize the belonging of the measured sample to the group. Based on the measured mass spectrometric data of these samples, two separable clusters were constructed in the two-dimensional space of principal components, corresponding to two groups of samples.

VIABILITY AND TRANSFECTION OF HELA CELLS
ON THE SURFACE OF SEMICONDUCTOR NANOWIRES

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 47—55.

The article presents the results of a study of the viability of HeLa cells during their cultivation on the surface of a vertical array of semiconductor nanowires (NWs). The viability of cells during growth on the surface of NWs formed from gallium phosphide with an average length of 4 and 8 μm, as well as gallium arsenide with an average length of 2 μm, is shown. The possibility of transfection of cells during cultivation on an NW array by direct introduction of a plasmid into the culture medium is demonstrated. The dependence of transfection efficiency on the average NW length is shown.

HORIZONTAL HELE-SHOW INSTALLATION FOR RESEARCHING
LAMINAR CELLULAR FLAMES

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 56—63.

An experimental setup for studying the flame propagation of methane and propane-air mixtures with hydrogen in the Hele-Shaw channel is described. The setup was assembled in laboratory conditions and is a channel of two parallel glass plates with partitions installed between them, which form a trapezoidal flat diffuser. Visualization of the flame front between the transparent plates of the channel was carried out, which made it possible to detect changes in the shape and structure of the flame front due to hydrodynamic and heat diffusion factors.

INVESTIGATION OF THE SURFACE OF A FILM REFLECTOR
BASED ON SIO2—ZRO2—P2O5—CAO FOR AN OPTICAL
INTERFEROMETER SYSTEM

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 64—70.

The paper considers the possibility of using an experimental interference installation with a reference wavefront formed by diffraction of a laser beam focused on a micrometer hole for surface control. Obtaining high-precision and reliable information about the geometric parameters of the surface of objects has always been an important task of metrology, therefore this work is relevant and promising. The paper defines the purpose and sets the task of the study. The appearance and optical scheme are given, as well as the operation of the scheme is described. The range (peak-to-valley, R) and standard deviation (RMS, s) in micrometers of the surface, as well as the distribution of the reflection coefficient in two directions in x and y, are obtained.

SELECTION OF A SUPERLUMINESCENT RADIATION SOURCE
FOR THE MICROINTERFERENCE METHOD OF SURFACE RELIEF CONTROL

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 71—77.

The paper considers the problem of choosing a light source for the microinterference method of surface relief control. Currently, great attention is being paid to superluminescent LEDs, because they are the optimal light sources for low-coherence interferometry due to their technical characteristics. The use of the spectral method to identify the peak wavelength of radiation, the width of the source spectrum, which determines the coherence length, is significant, therefore this work is relevant and promising. The purpose and task of the study are set. The functional diagram of the measuring unit and the monochromator unit are given. Graphical dependences of the relative spectral sensitivities of superluminescent LEDs on different heterostructures are obtained and the coherence lengths for each light source are calculated.

Keywords: atomic and molecular structure, spectral method, superluminescent diode, peak wavelength of radiation, spectrum width, coherence length of the source, Abbe prism, heterostructures

METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF WORKING ZONE
OF MAGNETIC FORCE STABILITY IN PARTICLE
SUSCEPTIBILITY CONTROL MAGNETOMETER

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 78—84.

In order to ensure correct conditions when monitoring the magnetic susceptibility of particles in magnetometers of ponderomotive and/or magnetic rheological types, the step of identification the working (executive) zone for such monitoring is especially important. In this regard, a new method has been proposed for identifying this zone, a distinctive feature of which is the use (for diagnosing the field between the pole pieces) of a spherical ferrosonde sensor that perceives the effect of magnetic force F at a distance x from the center distance of the pole pieces in a certain (along the line of action of magnetic force) direction. A series of experiments were carried out with varying the diameter d of the sensor and the magnetizing force Iω the magnetometer.

THE EFFECT OF SPECKLE FIELDS ON MEASUREMENT RESULTS WHEN MONITORING
A DEFORMED SURFACE WITH A LOW-COHERENCE INTERFERENCE INSTALLATION

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 85—92.

The paper considers the influence of speckle fields on the formation of the amplitude of the interference signal when monitoring a deformed surface using a low-coherence light interference installation. Interference devices operating in low-coherence light use white light sources, superluminescent diodes, which coherence length ranges from 100 microns to 1 micron. The coherence length of the radiation source is a key parameter of these devices, since the shorter the coherence length, the higher the accuracy of measuring the microrelief of the surface; therefore, this work is relevant and promising. The article sets the purpose and objectives of the study, considers the properties of speckle fields, and proposes an interference control method using partially coherent radiation. During the experiment, the amplitude of the output signal and expressions for the amplitude of the interference signal were analyzed, which made it possible to evaluate the functioning and change of parameters introduced into the optical circuit of the measuring installation.

DETERMINATION OF SURFACE WAVE SPECTRUM
PARAMETERS USING VIDEO RECORDING IN NATURAL LIGHT

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 93—105.

In many areas of applied physics, such as underwater acoustics, radar, climatology, and shipbuilding, when studying sea waves, it is necessary to know not only the frequency spectrum but also the lengths and directions of wave propagation. The dependence of the spectral density of the surface wind wave elevation power on the frequency and wave vector can be estimated by the method described in the paper. The method is distinguished by the simplicity of the equipment; it is enough to shoot the waves with one video camera and process the recording using a PC (a link to the author's open-source program is given). The possibilities are further expanded by combining a camera and a calibration device – a wave recorder or a spar buoy for measuring water surface oscillations at a point – into a scientific installation. The paper provides recommendations on the conditions for using the video recording method and provides examples of processing.

EVALUATION OF THE PROPERTIES OF CHAOTIC SIGNALS
AFFECTING THE RELIABILITY OF DATA TRANSMISSION

"Nauchnoe Priborostroenie", 2025, vol. 35, no. 1, pp. 122—128.

Various chaotic signal generators (CSG) were selected to generate chaotic signals (CS) to ensure reliable data transmission in systems while employing reliability indicators. It is indicated that literature presents incomplete or partial reliability indicators-based analysis of the properties of CS synthesized using various CSG. Using simulation modeling methods, a number of sequences were generated for each of the selected CSG for further evaluation of their properties according to the values of the maximum side peak of the autocorrelation function (ACF) and the peak factor of the signal as some of the most important reliability indicators. Their mathematical description and the corresponding requirements for the signals used are given. A meaningful formulation of the problem of selecting CSG-synthesized CS to ensure reliable data transmission in systems while using the specified indicators is given. Its mathematical description is given. Calculations of the values of the maximum side peaks of the ACF and the peak factor of various CS generated using simulation modeling methods were performed. A comparative analysis of the obtained results made it possible to divide the studied CS synthesized using the various CSG into three groups: those that meet the requirements, those that partially meet the requirements, and those that do not meet the requirements. Based on the obtained data, the CS synthesized using various CSG were selected to ensure reliable data transmission in the systems. A succinct explanation of the results obtained is provided. It has been shown that, in addition to the CS that fully meet the requirements and those that do not meet them, there is a large group of various CSG that partially meet the requirements. It is indicated that when using such CSG in systems, it is necessary to pay attention to their properties and select initial conditions and values of the CSG control parameters so that the forming CS have the required characteristics.
