METHODS FOR LOGISTIC GROWTH CURVE PARAMETERS ESTIMATION. PART. 1. OPTIMIZATION OF ESTIMATION CONDITIONS AT THE PRESENCE OF ADDITIVE RANDOM ERROR

Logistic growth is one of the traditional mathematical models, used for describing many population proc-esses in particular, the dynamics of DNA quantity in polymerase chain reaction in real time (PCR-RT) is ade-quately described by a similar model. The parameters of the logistic growth curve serve the basis for the devel-opment of the necessary analytical information about the initial quantity of genetic material. The subject of the study is the sequence of measurements, each of which, in a general case, besides useful informative component contains random centered additive error and systematic component as a linear trend of the first order with a pri-ori unknown parameters. The aim of the present part of the study is the development of the algorithms of the ef-fective parameters estimation of logistic growth in the presence of the additive centered limited random error. Keywords: polymerase chain reaction (PCR), logistic growth, estimation of parameters, random error, stochastic approximation

METHODS FOR LOGISTIC GROWTH CURVE PARAMETERS ESTIMATION. PART. 2. ESTIMATION AND COMPENSATION OF THE SYSTEMATIC COMPONENT OF MEASUREMENT. COMPARISON OF TWO DIFFERENT FORMS OF THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR LOGISTIC GROWTH

Logistic growth is one of the traditional mathematical models, used for describing many population proc-esses. The dynamics of DNA quantity in conducting polymerase chain reaction in real time (PCR-RT) is ade-quately described by a similar model, as it was noted earlier [1]. In šart. 1 of this paper the algorithms for the development of the efficient parameters estimation were described, and the description of the characteristics of the random errors in the estimations proposed was given. The main aims of šart. 2 of this paper are determina-tion and compensation of the systematic component of logistic growth curve, and comparison of two different forms (using algebraic (power) and exponential functions) of the mathematical model of the process. Keywords: polymerase chain reaction, logistic growth, systematic error compensation, approximation of functions, iterations

ONE APPROACH TO SOLVE PROBLEMS OF SUPER-NOISE-IMMUNE DETECTION OF SIGNALS

Some restrictions for fundamental solutions of signal optimal detection problems are considered, which arise due to the exclusive usage of functional Hilbert space metrics. To diversify criteria for deviation of an input process from the transmitted signal estimation at the expense of a number of metrics, used in different func-tional spaces is suggested to overcome them. Preference is given to those, which provide the greatest increase of the norm due to the signal presence. It is shown that from the point of view of technical implementation a choice of metrics and of a corresponding functional space determines the way of detection, whereas the receiver struc-ture, i.e. the way of signal processing, is determined by the kind of a functional used in the selected functional space. An extreme value of this functional is a criterion for optimal detection in a given functional space. Bas-ing on periodicity of the same kind or form of oscillations it is suggested to solve the main problem in a func-tional space formation — determination of a fixed period, meeting the conditions for the actual infinity and permitting to measure any statistical moments, including the odd ones. The most informational and economical among them, according to A. Kolmogorov, are the moments of the 1-st order. It is suggested to use them for the super-noise-immune detection of signals. THE INVESTIGATION ĪF ALGORITHMS OF OUTLIERS' ELIMINATOR IN MASS-SPECTRAL SIGNALS

The results of investigation of some types of algorithms of outliers eliminator and smoothing in mass-spectral signal are discussed. The investigation was performed with the help of computational experiment on the base models of mass-spectral signals, distorted by noise and outliers. The advantages of the modified Rous-seeuw’s method for mass-spectral analysis are shown. This method is based on the least median of squares re-gression. The hardware and software of the unit for determination īf the coefficient of elasticity of the material is de-scribed. The unite is based on the measurement of resonance frequency of acoustic vibrations, which is caused by pulsing mechanical impact.
